Home Team Gallery Visit 2016

On April of 2016, our cadets had the opportunity to visit the Home Team Gallery to learn more about Singapore's past. Here is a reflection from one of our cadets.

The visit to the home team gallery was a meaningful and eye-opening experience as we got to learn more about the tough times Singapore faced in the past. We also learnt about how alert and task-orientated the security department of Singapore is. 

We learnt that they are always on the tips of their toes and are always prepared for any disaster that strikes at any time. An example is the hotel new world collapsed and rescue operations were almost immediately put into action. The authorities ensured that the public was calm and took care of the situation professionally despite experiencing this kind of incident for the first time. The authorities also made sure that the number of casualties did not increase and sought help from other countries who were more experienced in the rescue operations  of similar incidents. 

The Singaporean authorities took the advice of the foreign Advisors and cooperated well to end with a successful rescue operation of hotel New World.
