Cadet Leader Course 2017
This year, 2 of our cadets had the opportunity to participate in the Cadet Leader Course (CLC)! Here are their thoughts on the camp;

The Cadet Leader Course has really been an enriching and interesting course for both of us, having taught us many things such as leadership values and some useful tips on how to lead the unit as Sec 3 seniors next year. We also got to interact with many cadets from NPCC from many different schools from their respective areas which allowed us to step out of our comfort zone when making friends with them. The Field Instructors there were also very friendly and helpful to us, which allowed the course to be much more enjoyable. Providing us with invaluable tips on leadership and drills, they allowed us to improve ourselves in order to lead the unit better next year. During the first day of the course, we got to know many cadets there through ice-breaker activities and gained invaluable knowledge on leadership qualities. We also learned of several efficient ways to settle problematic issues that are commonly faced in the CCA. On the second day of the course, we learnt many drills which we did not know of before. We also got a chance to teach other cadets from other schools rifle drills. Receiving the certificate and shirt for the CLC course at the end of the course has been very satisfying. Even though the course could be quite tiring at times it was still a really invaluable and enlightening experience for both of us. Being able to make new friends through this course also makes this course enjoyable in many ways.
