Initiation Day 2009
The Secondary 3 cadets have worked hard in preparation for the Initiation day which was held on a Friday, 23th January 2009. The objective for this event is to welcome the new Secondary Ones into our family and let them familiarise themselves with the unit’s values. The cadets were divided into 4 groups, namely Group 1, 2, 3 and 4.

We begun the event with an introduction from everyone. Cadets must state their name, class and previous primary schools. There was a big round of applause coming from the seniors whenever there were Secondary Ones from their previous primary school. The introduction was filled with heart-warming welcome and cheering for the Secondary Ones. The introduction was then followed by an ice-breaking game named “Poncho Frenzy”.
Next, we played the game “Murder Case Hunt”. Each groups have to solve a murder case with the help of clues. The clues, however, must be obtained by completing a task from 8 stations. The first one to complete the task won the game. Each station comprises of a unique game full of fun and tactics.

In the end, Group 3 won the event.
Although the majority of us did not win the game, we have learnt how to co-operate and synchronise with each other through each task from every station, while, at the same time, get to know each other better. It was indeed a memorable and fun-filled day for every one of us.
