On 30 July 2007, our cadets participated in the annual 3D2N Adventure Survival Training Camp and this is one of their reflections.

It is ATC time yet again. It will be the second time for us secondary threes and the first time for the secondary twos. This ATC is also different from the last year's one as it is held during the school term and all of us had to carry our ATC bags to school in addition to our school bags. After school, our O.C Ms Poh booked a bus to send us to the jetty. We were early(same meaning as the others were late) and we sat down and waited for a while before they CIs in charge finally let us and a few other schools go to pulau ubin first.
As usual, we trekked all the way to the NPCC campsite and cheered as we trekked on. Our spirits were high and we could even have fun while shouting "16 wheels!". Finally we reached the noordin campsite. The walk felt so much shorter as compared to the last time we came.
We then had bag inspection followed by the splitting of us into our ATC groups. Then from there, the females and males were separated and grouped into our tent groups. We collected our logistics and then started to pitch our tents. Tent pitching is one of the campcraft components that we were trained in our unit. Therefore, to us, it was easy to pitch a tent while some other schools had a little difficulty in their tent pitching. We got our tents and also helped some of the other sec threes and mostly the sec twos.
We were then introduced to our group CIs and they organised a get-to-know session for all of us. We also chose our group names and our group was named MOSQUITOES. Then it was wash up and Lights-out.
We were awoken at about 3am due to lightning alert and had to be evacuated from our tents. The girls had to sleep in the foyer while the guys slept in the canteen. The night was long and cold, with the disastrous rain outside and the fans in the foyer. Finally the rain stopped in time for our morning PT session. Then we had breakfast and our cycle of events. Group 5 was in the same cycle as group 6 and we started of with orienteering. It rained after we had left the campsite and everyone was soaked despite the fact that we were wearing ponchos.
After orienteering was lunch and then followed by HRC(high ropes challenge), then was a light shower but soon it cleared and was safe enough for us to try it out. It was definitely fun.
Then it was followed by our last cycle, the rafting. Unfortunately, it was raining so badly that we did not have a chance to experience it. We stayed behind to wash the kayaks which the secondary twos have just used.
Later on, we had dinner and our campfire. We just screamed and laughed till our throats were all hoarse.
We were awoken once again to be told that we had to sleep in the foyer again. The rain was heavier as compared to the one yesterday. All of us huddled close together and some of us slept on the floor and covered ourselves with the ponchos. After waking up and finding myself with a really bad cold, we washed up and had PT in the foyer because the rain was really bad. PT was funny in way how everyone had to prevent themselves from hitting the person next to them.
Breakfast, area cleaning and tent un-pitching were next. Later on, we had a prize presentation for the best campers. CPL Ashley got the overall best camper for secondary threes and i got the group best camper. LCP Vivien got overall best camper for secondary twos and LCP Rachel and LCP Yohana both got group best camper awards. It is a great honour to our school for sweeping the overall best camper awards. We took some more photos and trekked back to the ubin jetty. Soon, we arrived on Singapore mainland and returned home with yet another bunch of happy memories and experiences.
